Philosophy

'Sure' has many connotations – to begin with, it is an acronym for my name, Sandhya Uliyargoli Rao's Expressions. Sure is also synonymous with authenticity, certainty, confidence, a positive approach, reliability and trust.

A few years into my career, I felt the need to create a brand for myself. One that would be synonymous with my principles in both design and life. I wanted to be able to give clients quality work with strong concepts, execution and a sophistication in the final product that I believe every client should have the right to demand from their designer. Sure Designs was the product of this desire. I have had the pleasure of working with a number of clients with different backgrounds and needs, and no matter what the challenge, I always do my very best to put out a finished product that I stand behind. I constantly strive to meet the high standards that my brand stands for, and to fine-tune my design skills with every project I undertake.

Recent Accomplishments

Participated, volunteered and co-organized faQ – Subject to Interpretation, 2012 – An Art & Design Exhibition for the Emerging Women Artists from the Stella Maris College Alumni Batch of 2002 graduates. From a class of 39, 16 artists collaborated efforts were showcased at the Lalit Kala Akademi in Chennai from February 1-5, 2012. Different interpretation of art on canvas through styles, concepts, installations and techniques was appreciated by Padmashri Thota Tharani who inaugurated the show.

My insatiable energy and creativity for the works I portrayed were inspired by two of my biggest passions – Design & Dance. Using the principles and fundamentals of design, I blended emotions, form and grace that characterize Indian dance in my minimalistic and abstract series.
